The Adaptive Leadership Zambia (ALZ) has continued to engage its members and stakeholders on various issues regarding impactful interventions in all the 22 districts across the country.

As the year approaches the close, the ALZ has successfully held its last set of Capacity Building Workshops which commenced on 19th September, 2023, in Lusaka’s Sub- districts.

The capacity building workshops aimed at exploring the best approach to reaching out to Adolescents and Young People (AYP) in the country and to undertake impactful interventions to achieving the vision 2030 of reducing new HIV infections among the AYP.

On Tuesday, September 19, 2023 the ALZ held three simultaneous workshops in Lusaka’s Sub Districts namely, Chilenje, Kanyama and Chipata sub- districts.

The workshops were held in sets of two days and attracted experts from various sectors including: Health, Education, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Parents and team leads from the six Sub-districts among others.

An interview with a stakeholder from the District AIDS Coordination Advisor (DACA), Ms. Charlotte Mvula stated that the need for collaborations in fighting HIV still remains imperative if the country is to achieve the zero to new infection of the virus.

And Rabson Banda a stakeholder and mental wellness advocate thanked the ALZ for its work reciting that it is due to such programs that he recovered from the drug abuse and other addictions.

The ALZ team proceeded to engage various stakeholders in other districts including, Mansa, Kitwe, Ndola, Chipata, Livingstone, Mongu, Chikankata, kafue, Choongwe, Lufwanyama, Chinsali, Chingola, Chambeshi, Mufulira, Choma, Chililabombwe, Kalulushi, Kabwe, Lundazi, Mubuyu, Solwezi and Kasama.

Traditional leaders were also part of the key stakeholders in the workshops as they submitted their view on the anticipated interventions in their chiefdoms.
