The high rate of teenage pregnancy remains a significant concern and poses major development challenges. Nearly 30% of adolescent girls become pregnant by the age of 18 years according to the Zambia Demographic Health Survey (ZDHS 2018).
In order to supplement government efforts in eradicating this problem, Adaptive Leadership Zambia has continued to educate and sensitize Adolescents and Young People on sexual reproductive health.
Recently, Chipata Sub District team held an intervention at Kings Primary School in Mandevu compound in Lusaka where they addressed the issue of teen pregnancies, providing the right information and skills for young people to make safe and healthy decisions.
